Showers and brassware provided to The Foundation of Goodness charity

Brassware manufacturer Abode has presented showers and taps to the Foundation of Goodness, a charity set up 15 years ago after the Tsunami to help rural communities in Sri Lanka.

One of the key objectives of the charity is to ensure every family has access to appropriate services including sanitation, electricity and clean water.

Abode also sponsors local amateur rugby team Ashvill College, which when they visited Sri Lanka asked the manufacturer to donate taps and showers to refurbish orphanages and other centres across the country. Pictured is the captain of the rugby team presenting a pallet of brassware to the charity.

On receipt of the donation, Anura De Silva of the Foundation commented: “Please accept out heartfelt gratitude for making this kind donation. We are delighted to accept these items and as they are of the highest quality, we will use them to their best advantage at our centres and elsewhere.”

Marketing manager of Abode, Helen Clark said: “We applaud the Foundation of Goodness for providing facilities and an environment that engenders learning opportunities for disadvantaged rural children and youth. We too were pleased to be able to help improve the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves.”
