Will supply façades, flooring, cladding and worktops to Rafa Nadal Academy

The Cosentino Group, which has opened two Australian centres, has sponsored the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar project, a tennis academy that Nadal will soon open in his hometown of Manacor in Majorca.

The Academy is an educational and sports project dedicated to teaching, shaping values, promoting tennis and finding talent. The facades, flooring and cladding of the building will be in Dekton, while Silestone will be used in the kitchens and bathrooms.

Cosentino group director of marketing and communications, Santiago Alfonso, said: “Collaborating with Rafa Nadal is a source of great pride for us all. For Cosentino, where we have always committed ourselves to continually improve, innovate and search for that leadership to succeed, this partnership represents great satisfaction for all our employees, partners and customers worldwide.”

Nadal expressed his pleasure at working with a Spanish company ” that is a world leader in its sector, encompassing a series of values with which I fully identify, in addition to supporting sport in Spain for a long time. I am sure that this collaboration project with Cosentino, starting with its help in the construction of the Academy, will be a long-lasting one and be productive for both parties.”

Cosentino has supported sport through other ventures including Silestone becoming one of the main brands of NBA team Houston Rockets, a four year sponsorship with Silestone of F1’s Fernando Alonso and Dekton sponsoring four time motorcycle racing world champion Jorge Lorenzo.
