Shortlisted in Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Award

Bathroom accessories specialist, Croydex has been named a finalist in the Hampshire Business Awards, where the winner will be announced at a gala dinner at The Guildhall in Winchester on September 30.

The Andover-based company has been shortlisted in the Blake Morgan Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Award. “Croydex prides itself on its corporate conscience so we are absolutely thrilled to be named a finalist in the Blake Morgan Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Award. “

Managing director of Croydex Nick McGrellis commented: “We believe that embedding an ethical approach throughout our operations is not only the right thing to do, but also makes good business sense. With the bathroom accounting for more than 60% of water use in the home, a firm commitment to water efficiency is at the heart of our operations and product portfolio – from playing an instrumental role in the development of the Water Label to launching our latest water-saving shower range, Aqua Air.”

The Water Label – launched by the Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA) – has been designed to make it easier for people to choose water-saving products, by rating them by the number of litres per minute they use. Croydex was activity involved in the scheme’s development and one of the first companies to sign up.

Its Aqua Air range of shower products works by drawing in air and blending it with the water flow – making each droplet bigger and softer. Air force enhances the system’s spray power and promises savings of up to 50 per cent water reduction compared to normal showers. As part of its extensive portfolio, Croydex also offers Sit Tight toilet seats.
