The Federation of Kitchen & Bathroom Designers (FKBD) has extended the deadline of its Marion John Awards, celebrating small kitchen and bathroom design, until December 31, 2013.
Launched earlier this year, the awards recognise the skills in designing imaginative projects in a confined space, with bathrooms measuring no more than 5sqm and kitchens of no more than 10sqm.
Founder of the FKBD, Garry Milligan commented: "Our competition is unique in that entry is only open to designs for smaller kitchens and bathrooms. We are trying to find designers who have used skill and imagination to make something special in a typical UK or Irish kitchen or bathroom."
He added: "There is nothing to entering, just four images and a handful of words describing what the client wanted. It doesn't take too much time or effort to get together."
The competition honours independent kitchen designer, Marion John, who passed away at the beginning of the year, and who was a passionate supporter of good design, no matter what size or budget. The FKBD Marion John Awards are sponsored by Roca, Hafele, and Landau Parapan.
