Sales up €15million, with 38% share from the export market

German kitchen furniture manufacturer Hacker has achieved sales of €406million, up €15million on the previous year.

The majority of its sales (62%) were in Germany, while 38% came from export, with equal growth across its home market and abroad, maintaing the same ratio as sales in 2013.

Hacker cited the recovering German economy, the emerging markets in the Netherlands and Great Britain, as well as increasing sales in Switzerland, India and China as the reasons for its growth.

CEO Jochen Finkemeier commented on the financial results: “We are delighted that we have exceeded the €400million mark, despite difficult trading conditions in some markets. For coming years, too, our aim remains to generate sustainable and profitable growth. The focus here continues to be on expansion of foreign business.”

Helping to continue the growth of the company will be Markus Sander, who was appointed to the board on January 2, 2015, and will work alongside Jochen Finkemeier and Dirk Krupka, director of technology and management.

Sander will be supported in his role by Marcus Roth, who is responsible for sales in Germany and Austria, as well as Andreas Moller who is in charge of export sales, to develop new markets.
