German kitchen manufacturer Häcker has announced a total sales figure of €391 million for 2013, an increase of €8 million on 2012.
Its domestic sales totalled 62%, a rise of 2%, while exports were around 38% of total sales, a fall of 2%. In 2013 Häcker manufactured 150,000 kitchens, comprising 1.5 million carcase components.
Managing director Jochen Finkemeier (pictured) commented on the sales figures: “Overall, we are satisfied with our business results, particularly in view of the general economic situation. Because in comparison with the German kitchen furniture industry as a whole – where sales fell by 0.37% in the first three quarters of 2013 – we were able to generate positive figures.”
Marcus Roth, director of domestic sales, agreed: “Our primary business objective is to achieve sustainable and profitable growth – and we once again succeeded in doing just this in 2013. It is for this reason we must also praise the entire Häcker team for their commitment and hard work.”
Over the next 12 months, Häcker will be presenting its latest product developments at three trade fairs: Eurocucina in April, its inhouse trade fair in September and LivingKitchen in Cologne in January, 2015.
In terms of sales in 2014, Häcker anticipates a stable German market and further impetus to exports, as Andreas Möller, director of export sales explains: “Above all, we see a strengthening of our non-domestic growth in those markets in which we have restructured our sales organisations, such as Asia and Eastern Europe, for example.”
Häcker Kitchens, based out of Rödinghausen, east Westphalia, employs over 1,100 people and supplies its kitchens to more than 60 countries. Häcker has recently expanded its classic-style kitchen with the introduction of Oxford, a country-house design.
