Hoover Candy Group scoops Red Dot Award

Hoover Vision Oven

Recognised and celebrated for product design

The European version of the UK’s Hoover Vision Oven, the Candy Watch & Touch, has received a Red Dot Award for Product Design.

More than 6,300 products from 59 countries entered the Red Dot Awards, this year, and were chosen by a panel of 39 judges.

The high-end oven boasts a 19” touch screen door, which allows uses to access website, watch video cooking tutorials, save and amend recipes, and it has just one button – the on/off switch.

In addition, the 80-litre capacity model also features an in-cavity camera, which allows users to keep an eye on the cooking via an app on their smartphone or tablet.

Product manager for built-in appliances at Hoover Candy Daniel Dewey commented: “We are incredibly proud to have won a Red Dot Award. “It is a huge success for us and a real testimony to the time and effort we’ve put in to developing our range of connected appliances – a journey we embarked on several years ago when we launched the UK’s first fully connected range of Wi-Fi enabled appliances, Hoover Wizard.”
