kbb sales director takes a watery hit for charity

The Ice Bucket Challenge is now sweeping the kitchen and bathroom industry, with sales director of kbb Birmingham  Jon Jonston having undertaken the dare for charity.

He was nominated by May Design Series brand director Suzie Ager.

The challenge dares nominated people, within 24 hours, to be filmed having a bucket of ice water poured over their head or as a forfeit to donates money to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Motor Neurone Disease.

However, bending the rules and following an office whip-round, Jonston was dowsed in a bucket of ice cold water and filmed, with the £30 collection still going towards the charity.

Motor Neurone Disease is a fatal progressive disorder, which affects muscle activity, eventually leading to difficulty in speaking, swallowing and breathing.

The Ice Bucket Challenge started in America in June 2014. And less than two months later, The New York Times reported the ALS Association has received $41.8million in donations from July 29 to August 21.
