MBO led by now managing director Simon Ogden

The management buyout of LDL Components, led by former director Simon Ogden has now been completed.

It followed the company’s announcement that LDL intended to centralise its business operation at Hadfield, Derbyshire.

The company was formed in 2010 when Bath-based business Lord Distribution and OML, located in Hadfield, merged.

Although there was natural synergy between the two companies, and the joint business has grown dramatically, there was a challenge to operate from two sites 170 miles apart. Now all functions have moved to Hadfield, previously the LDL Distribution Centre, and the Bath office has closed.

Managing director of LDL Components Simon Ogden commented: “We have been able to double the size of our new headquarters with new office suites to accommodate those departments previously located at our Bath office. With a strong management team now in place, we are investing heavily in the future and will unveil exciting new developments shortly. LD already has a tremendous reputation for service and innovation and we intend to build on that. Having everything under one roof can only benefit both the company and its many customers.”
