Wiltshire-based kitchen furniture manufacturer the Manor Cabinet Company, which trades as Manor Interiors, has invested £1million into machinery to boost capacity and broaden its product range.

The £10million turnover business, which has a 70,000sqft headquarters in Swindon, Wiltshire, has 106 staff that design, manufacture and install more than 2,500 kitchens each year.

Founded by managing director Terry McPartlan in 1996, the family-run business has now bought edge banders, routers and an automated stacking system following an upturn in demand from consumers and residential developers.

In addition, it has also launched a range of kitchen cabinets called Linea, which has inspired by German styles.

On the back of the investment, it funded by a £600,000 hire purchase facility from Lloyds Bank Commercial Finance and a Regional Growth Fund grant.

Managing director Terry McPartlan commented on the investment: “The quality and technology of the new machinery allows is to bring modern, continental-style products to the market that are very popular at the moment. It will also further improve the quality of the cabinets that we use across all our modern and traditional ranges.

“We have seen a significant upturn in both retail sales through our network of showrooms and our contracts division, which supplies the top-end housing developers nationwide.”
