Miele and Samsung scoop Which? Awards

Winners of 10th annual awards

Consumer association Which? has announced the winners of its annual awards, which are now in their 10th year, with the line-up including Miele and Samsung.

Miele scooped the Home Appliance Brand of the Year category, beating John Lewis, New World, Samsung and Sebo. However Samsung picked up Sound and Vision Brand of the Year, beating Panasonic, Sony and Canon.

In addition, the electronics giant was also awarded a special 10th Anniversary Award beating Panasonic, insurance provider NFU Mutual and First Direct bank.It was presented to Samsung “for consistently performing well in research and testing, and focusing on making their products better for consumers”.

In addition, Toolstation won the Retailer of the Year category, beating John Lewis, Ao.com and beauty company Liz Earle.

The ceremony was co-hosted by TV presenter Natasha Kaplinsky and Chief Executive Peter Vicary-Smith and this year, the awards focused on “innovation and the changing expectations of consumers over the last decade”.
