Rising from bronze to gold standard certification

Builders merchant Ridgeons has been awarded Gold standard for Investors in People for its people management, staff training schemes and employee retention.

Assessors at Investors in People praised Ridgeons for its staff engagement, corporate social responsibility, culture and ethos, as well as its quantity and quality of training, including coaching and mentoring.

Ridgeons has held the Investors in People award since 1998 and in the last three years has risen from Bronze to Gold standard by meeting 180 out of a possible 196 evidence criteria.

Established in 1911, Ridgeons employs more than 800 members of staff across the East of England including Cambridge, Peterborough, Norwich, Ipswich, Bedford and Colchester.

In addition to 26 builders merchant sites, the Ridgeons Group of companies includes Ridgeons Forest Products, CRS Wholesale and Anglia Tool Centre.
