SBID announces Design Award finalists

Awards see an increase in entries of 25% from 43 countries

The Society of British and International Design (SBID) has announced the finalists of its awards, which feature 14 categories, including KBB Design and Innovative Product Design.

SBID has reported an increase of 25% in entries for its International Design Award which have from 43 countries, including Dhabi, Bahrain, Morocco, Japan, Israel and New Zealand.

The KBB Design category features 16 finalists, and features companies such as Diane Berry Kitchens, Pippa Paton Design, Lida Cucine and Drom UK.

Kitchen and bathroom manufacturers have also been recognised in the Innovative Product Design award which boasts 19 finalists.

They include Grohe for its FootControl kitchen tap, Duravit for C-Bonded furniture, Laufen and Roca for its Ino and Inspira washbasins, respectively, Kaldewei for Skin Touch bathing system, Hangrohe for its Talis Select mixers and Grace of London for its ‘Faberge egg’ inspired bath. 

Winners will be announced and presented with a crystal trophy at The Dorchester Hotel in London on November 25, and the Overall Winner will also be revealed.

All the winners and finalists of the SBID International Design Awards will be featured in The Global Interior Design 2016 coffee table book.
