The Atrium measures 14,000sqft and includes a training facility

Following the opening of its new Abingdon HQ, last year, appliance manufacturer Smeg has launched a redesigned trade showroom and training facility – the Atrium.

It forms part of a £10million investment, the largest in the company’s history, across its Abingdon and newly-opened Smeg retail store in London.

Atrium houses over 300 products, laid out by range, each with a hero kitchen display, alongside ovens, fridges, wine coolers and warming drawers.

The 14,000sqft space also includes a ‘Living Kitchen’ for hands-on learning, complete with demonstration facilities and ‘Bake-off’ style work benches, plus a dining area.

Completing the trade showroom is a conference suite, which houses more than 60 people and can be used as a demonstrate theatre, meeting space or boardroom for AV presentations.

The facility will be headed up by Smeg’s national training and sales support manager Clare Edwards, who has been tasked with engaging customers through a series of demonstration and workshops.

Managing director of Smeg UK Mike Giddings commented: “We are thrilled to expand our Abingdon HQ at a crucial time for the brand, following the recent launch of our London store. The showroom will aid us in presenting our products to customers and trade in the best light, based out of our very own headquarters.”
