Company now employs more than 40 people and has a £6million turnover

Established in 1968 by self-taught stone carver Bernard Vanhinsbergh, B&V Masonry, which uses the trading name StoneCircle, has celebrated 50 years of trading.

Now run by his two sons Jeff and Steve, who took over the company following his retirement, the company now employs more than 40 people and has a £6million turnover.

According to the company, it has one of the largest and most advanced factories in England following the completion of StoneCircle’s 20,000sqft extension, with CNC saws, polishing machines, water cutter and OMAG 5-axis machine.

It serves kitchen and bathroom showrooms, and has witnessed a shift in business towards the commercial stone market, as a subcontractor to stone contracting firms and directly to contractors, builders, interior designers and architects.

To celebrate its 50th anniversary, StoneCircle has produced a cookbook with recipes based on the countries where it sources its stone, which will be given to its customers and everyone who buys a kitchen worktop during its anniversary year.

The company is also holding competitions and promotions, and will be throwing a party for staff and friends.
