Following the success of the Made In Britain campaign, launched in 2011 by British cooker manufacturer Stoves, it has now been handed over to an independent committee Made In Britain. The non-profit organisation will be run by a committee of directors from UK-based manufacturers, including CEO of Stoves Denver Hewlett, as well as leaders of other organisations which support British trade and industry. There are 1000 businesses which form part of the campaign, which has been backed by consumers, industry figures and last year it was adopted by Ed Miliband and the Labour party who called for cross-party support for the initiative.
