Luxury cooling and cooking brand relocates head office and creates Art Deco theme

Luxury kitchen appliance brands, Sub-Zero & Wolf has relocated its head office to Maldon in Essex and created an Art-Deco style showroom with live demonstration area.

Based in a former flour mill, the building is positioned on the Chelmer & Blackwater Canal. Following its renovation, it has been transformed by interior designer Anne Brookman, working with MD of Sub-Zero & Wolf Craig Davies.

The head office showroom features a Great Gatsby-esque bar, boardroom with graffiti art, reflecting the brands American roots, as well as Living Kitchen with working models of the company’s latest New Generation integrated cooling and cooking appliances.

The Living Kitchen will be used by trade for training designers and installers, as well as consumers for ‘Try before you buy’ days.

Completing the two-floor head office is an Aerodrome-inspired office with Charlie Smallbone-designed desks. It has been created to pay homage to the history of the local area, which had an airfield in World War II.

MD Craig Davies commented on the relocation of the company’s head office: “It is important to me to support and invest in my home county of Essex. Maldon is conveniently located close to the A12 with good links to London and allows me to offer a great environment to my staff, as well as offering a new Sub-Zero & Wolf ‘Living Kitchen – Maldon’ for consumers and trade partners alike, who may find this part of the world a convenient spot for them to explore Sub-Zero & Wolf.

“I love the fact that our new building backs onto the Chelmer & Blackwater canal, which I’ve enjoyed clearing and improving. The final touches of decking, recliners and new trees will finish the outdoor space, which I know my team will enjoy using during breaks. When Sub-Zero & Wolf outdoor products become available in the UK, we will certainly have the perfect spot for them.”
