Axor, the designer brand from Hansgrohe, held its UK launch at London’s Tower Bridge for its Front ShowerProducts and AxorLamp first introduced at Italian trade show Cersaie.
In addition, it also introduced 12 standard Axor Manufacktur PVD finishes for its shower valves and mixers, including Gold, Rose Gold, Nickel, Bronze and Black Chrome, all in brushed or polished versions.
Hansgrohe, which recently celebrated 10 years of its Raindance shower, introduced the AxorLamp and AxorShowerProducts.
The AxorLamp (shown) was conceived by Japanese design studio Nendo and comes in ceiling and wall-mounted models. Swedish design trio Front created AxorShowerProducts, with a focus on turning the plumbing system of pipes, joints, valves and funnels into a design statement.
Speaking at the event, managing director of Hansgrohe UK, Martin Mongan said he was optimistic about future sales for the company and the UK bathroom industry: “We are seeing fantastic growth and a real return of optimism to the market. It’s not just in London, which it has been for three or four years, we are seeing it throughout the UK.
“We’ve got growth in Scotland which we haven’t seen for three or four years. It’s [across] projects and it’s[across] retail. It’s consumers, hotels and new houses which is driving the growth. And we are seeing growth on last year in the region of 20-25% for the last three or four months of the year. It’s a real good sign for everybody.”
