Following a 33-year career, Mike Jarrett is to take early retirement on April 30

BSH Home Appliances has announced independent kitchen sales director Mike Jarrett will be taking early retirement, following a 33 year career with the company, on April 30.

Jarrett started with the brand as an area sales manager for Surrey and Sussex in 1983 and was promoted to sales director of Neff in 1999.

He oversaw a transformation of the Neff strategy, which more than doubled the brand’s turnover in seven years.

More recently, he has held the position as independent kitchen sales director for the combined Bosch, Neff and Siemens brands and has grown the business in two years.

Director of the BSH Kitchen Division Simon Jones said: “Mike has played a major role in shaping not only Neff and BSH, but has also left an indelible mark on the wider kitchen industry – and not many are able to make that claim. Mike is a true gentleman and one of life’s ‘nice guys’. It has been an absolute pleasure working with him, and learning from him, over the last few years. I will sorely miss his dry, rapier-like sense of humour, and I wish him and [his wife] Sally every possible happiness in the next phase of their life together.”
