Kitchen, appliance and bathroom distributor PJH has announced its CEO Andrew Yates has been promoted to the position of CEO of its parent company Globe Union Industrial Corporation. He will succeed Scott Ouyong, who has taken the role of chairman of the company.

Yates has led the PJH business for 10 years and will be succeeded by Richard George, who has worked with the company since 2011, most recently as COO.

Richard George commented on the future of the business: “There have been a lot of exciting changes within PJH recently, such as the launch of Virtu our premium brand kitchen range, new corporate branding, and introduction of the PJH Partners Portal online platform. Building on this vibrancy I am looking forward to entering the next stage of PJH’s growth strategy and working with our customers as true partners – through our ‘together we’re better’ approach.”

He added: “I am committed to providing better choice, better value and convenience for all our customers whilst meeting the many challenges the bathroom, kitchen and appliance sector brings.” Bolton-based PJH was established in 1972 and now operates across four UK sites, employing around 500 people. It has over 400,000sqft of warehouse space and over £17million of stockholding.
