After 28 years with the company Chris Hazlehurst retires

After 28 years of working for TKC, commercial director Chris Hazelhurst has announced his retirement.

He joined TKC in February 1990 and, at that time, was only the second employee of the company.

His first role was as a warehouse assistant and his career progressed with promotions to warehouse manager, commercial manager and then commercial director in 1999.

During his time with the company, Hazlehurst has overseen three moves, including relocating to its current Denton-based HQ, as well as the transition from a privately-owned family business to a private equity company.

CEO of TKC Roy Saunders said: “Chris’s development through TKC is a genuine feel good story from warehouse assistant to commercial director. His commitment regularly saw 4am starts, with our customers at the heart of his focus and drive. He supported me personally when I joined the business and has been instrumental as the business has changed over the last few years. We all wish him the very best in his retirement and thank him for his unquestionable commitment to TKC over 28 years.”
