British brand Victoria + Albert Baths has appointed Edward Davies as CEO, effective from July 1 2017, following the news that Chris Davies will be stepping down.
With a decade of experience with the company, Edward Davies most recently held the role of commercial director for the last two years.
Chris Davies will assume the role of executive chairman, allowing him to focus on the strategy of the group.
Speaking of the change, Chris Davies said: “I’m absolutely delighted with the hard work of our team and proud of the progress we’ve made over the last two decades. We have expanded to six continents, established regional offices and developed new product lines. I look forward to working closely with Edward and the rest of the management team in the years ahead. Victoria + Albert Baths has been on an exciting journey and there is plenty more to come.”
Edward Davies said of his new appointment: “I have worked closely with Chris over the last few years and I’m pleased to step into the role as CEO. We’ve seen stable growth in the company through somewhat turbulent times, and I’m confident that our strategy of moving into complementary products such as high-end furniture and brassware will support our core business of freestanding baths and basins.
"In the next few years, we will focus on strengthening our retail positioning, and also further expand into the contract market, where we’re starting to see some exciting results.”
