Vanessa Brady OBE joins KBSA judging panel

The Kitchen Bathroom Bedroom Specialists Association (KBSA) Designer Awards judging panel has been bolstered by the addition of Dr Vanessa Brady OBE, who will work alongside head judge Wayne Hemingway.

Dr Brady is an international multi award-winning interior designer, business consultant, and founder of the Society of British and International Design (SBID).

National chair of the KBSA Richard Hibbert said: “We are delighted that Vanessa will be working alongside Wayne and our new line-up of judges in our special 40th year.

“Her impeccable design credentials are a perfect match for our awards, which are firmly focused on design excellence.”

She will join a panel which includes managing director of And So To Bed Martin Gill, who was formerly chief operating officer at Canburg and worked 27 years for the Nobia Group; creative director at Mascari Design Rob Mascari; national retail services manager for Blum UK Andrea Hillier and kitchen designer at Bulthaup Ainhoa Bilboa.

All projects shortlisted for the 2018 Design Awards will receive a personalised PR support package to maximise the promotion of their winning designs, worth up to £1,000.

In addition, there is also also a financial reward for the winner of the Young Designer Award who will receive a cash prize of £500 and, at the judges’ discretion, £1,500 in the form of an educational or training bursary.
