“Significant” investment to help develop manufacturing sites and product development

Kitchen and bedroom door manufacturer BA components has received a “significant investment” from H2 Equity Partners to support development of its manufacturing sites and new product.

The aim is for the company to become the “UK’s clear number one specialist door and furniture component manufacturer, and a one-stop-shop for mid to high-end doors and tool-free cabinets”.

Established in 1990 by brothers Brian and Kieran McCracken, BA Components is headquartered in Northern Ireland and has manufacturing sites in Cookstown, Northern Ireland; Doncaster and Rotherham South Yorkshire, where it makes ClicBox cabinets.

The company has been featured in the Belfast Telegraph Top 100 companies for the last three years.

The H2 investment will see partner of H2 Simon Gilbert and investment manager Cathal Turley join the board, however day-to-day operation will remain unchanged with the McCracken brothers as significant shareholders.

Managing director of BA Components Brian McCracken said: “We chose to partner with H2 based on their good knowledge of our sector and excellent track record built up over 26 years of working with family-owned businesses. Both Kieran and myself will remain actively involved in the business and we look forward to working with H2 to build on the core drivers of BA’s success which are a broad range of high quality products and excellent customer service.”
