Chief executive of Glen Dimplex Home Appliances Denver Hewlett has resigned from his role and will officially leave his post in December 2017.

CEO of Glen Dimplex Consumer Appliances Andy Griffiths said: “It is with great sadness that we have accepted Denver’s decision to leave GDHA. Denver has been in the Glen Dimplex family for 21 years and he believes it is now time to hand the responsibility to develop teh business to a new custodian, to lead the business into its next phase of growth.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Denver for his dedicated service to Glen Dimplex and its people. Specifically I would like to acknowledge the early part of Denver’s career in the re-establishment of the Belling brand, and for the leadership he gave to GDHA and the development of the GDHA business. We all wish Denver the very best for the future.”

Commenting on his resignation Denver Hewlett said: “This has been a difficult decision to make as I have enjoyed a long and rewarding career with GDHA and have a great deal of affection for the brands and people. I’ve seen the hard work and determination of our talented team restore our brands to health. When Glen Dimplex bought Belling out of receivership in 1992, I never thought that 20 years later, I would be overseeing the brand’s centenary celebrations!

“I leave with some wonderful memories of my time with the business; however, I feel the time is right for me to hand over the reins to somebody new. I wish the team all the best for the future and am confident they wil ensure that GDHA is a major player in the domestic appliance market for many years to come.”
