Following 20 years’ service, Richard Proctor to retire from JJO

After 20 years’ service at kitchen and bathroom furniture manufacturer JJO, marketing director Richard Proctor is set to retire from the company on October 1, 2014.

He commented on his time with the company: “The last 20 years at JJO has been an amazing journey. I can only liken it to a roller coaster. We’ve ridden highs and lows, experienced booms and business. We’ve seen square edges and curves, handpainted finishes and laminates and I’d like to think we have always been ‘on-trend’ with our feet firmly on the ground. However, challenging the news headlines, we never lost our customer focus or willingness to invest in the future. It’s a great company and deserves all the growth and success it has enjoyed over the years I have been privileged to be a part of it.”

Proctor started in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom industry in distribution at Ideal Timber, before working for the Di Lusso kitchen brand and then on to Bernstein in the early 80s, when the group experienced growth from £3million to £20million over an eight year period. He went on to join British manufacturer Carmargue Kitchens before joining JJO in 1994.
