UK entrepreneur Baroness Michelle Mone OBE has been named the keynote speaker at the 2019 Kitchen Bathroom Bedroom Specialists Association (Kbsa) Conference, AGM and Awards dinner.
The trade association’s conference will be held on September 25 at the Stratford Manor Hotel, Stratford upon Avon, and will be followed by the Kbsa Design Awards dinner hosted by Kevin Keegan OBE.
Mone founded Ultimo Lingerie transforming it from an initial idea to become one of the UK’s leading lingeries brands for over two decades, before selling the business in 2014.
She won the World Young Business Achiever Award in Florida, alongside Business Woman of the Year at the Corporate Elite Awards in London.
Mone also sat on the board of directors for The Prince’s Trust for 12 years.
She has gone on to launch a jewellery line with QVC, an interior styling business, property ventures in Dubai and is about to introduce a cryptocurrency business with the co-founder of Apple Steve Wozniak.
National chair of the Kbsa Richard Hibbert said: “We are thrilled that Baroness Michelle Mone will be our keynote speaker on September 25.
“Her success as an entrepreneur and determination to succeed, despite a hard upbringing, are in tune with our theme for ‘Staying Ahead’, and I am sure delegates will find her no-nonsense, practical and honest business advice inspirational.”
