Established in 1997, the Crawley-based business has been run by brothers James and Chris Froy for the past 30 years and sells to the merchant sector.

In a statement, James Froy commented: “My brother and I have completed a review of our business.

“As a result of changing forms of competition in how products reach the market place, the need to renew a 10-year lease, the uncertainty caused by Brexit, and rising costs such as business rates, we have decided that we should cease trading early in 2019 while we are still in good shape.

“Our largest supplier Bathroom Brands is supporting us to make this closure as painless as possible and presents an opportunity for all of our staff to join their organisation.”

CEO of the Bathroom Brands Group Patrick Riley commented: “Froy’s were our first distributor and we have always had a close friendship.

“When they shared their decision with us, we immediately looked to find the best solution to maintain excellent supply arrangements for all their customers, for our business and for the stakeholders in Froy’s.

“By taking their stock, we are in a position to open supply from our Lake View House HQ premises.

“In addition, we will create job opportunities for the employees of Froy’s.”
