Bathroom retailers Bathstore and Plumbworld are now offering interest-free, split payments through Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) provider Zip.

It will enable customers shopping online to split the cost of a purchase across four interest-free payments, up to a value of £1,000.

Plumbworld and Bathstore join a roster of 156 British retailers using Zip services, including Homebase.

It follows research from Zip which found home improvements topped the list of financial priorities for under 35s but the vast majority of them (87%) say being financially secure is vital to them.

The aim of the Buy Now Pay Later Service is to make purchases more accessible, as senior director at Zip Ruth Spratt stated: “Merchants and customers alike are realising the many benefits Buy Now, Pay Later can provide as an easy, transparent way to pay.

“Through merchant partnerships like ours with Plumbworld and Bathstore, we have been able to provide greater accessibility to everyday products and goods that can sometimes be out of reach for typical households”

Commenting on the partnership, director at Bathstore, Ian Penney said: “We’re always looking for ways to make shopping with us easier and more accessible.

“Working with Zip means we can offer Buy Now Pay Later on purchases under £1,000 in addition to our other finance options, and help even more customers create the bathroom of their dreams.“
