Bathstore Live Help sees sales values rise 20 percent

Video assisted sales are 12 times higher than unassisted online shopping sessions

Retailer Bathstore is using live video assistance on its website, to help customers select products, book consultations and offer advice through the checkout process.

The service has been running since August and revenue targets via the assisted sessions are 90% higher than Bathstore originally forecast.

Bathstore reports video-assisted conversion rates are 12 times higher than sales from unassisted shoppers.

In addition, it cites the average order basket value; following an assisted online shopping session is 20% higher than an unassisted session.

The Live Help is provided by Vee24, and the function is available seven days a week from 9am to 10pm. 

CMO of Bathstore Clare Bayliss commented: “We know that the majority of our customers will start their research online, so it makes perfect sense to meet these customers on the website.” She continued: “We’ve seen fantastic results from the day we went live with the service – our customers love it and it’s become a great service differentiator for Bathstore.”
