Retailers awaiting orders may have to wait until November
Despite BSH reporting a “?turning point”? for its backlog of new Bosch, Siemens and Neff appliances delays still remain, with some models now not available until 2016.
The company said the extended order period for its Bosch Series 8, Siemens IQ700 and Neff Premium Collections 1, 2 and 3, would be effective from August 5 until further notice.
Retailers placing orders, now, will still see up to 12 weeks’ lead time for the 600mm single oven with added steam and 450mm compact oven with steam, plus there will be eight weeks’ delay for its 600mm single oven.

However, kitchen retailers who want to order the 450mm compact oven with microwave will have to wait five months until January 2016. Those who want to order the 600mm single oven with microwave or 600mm with full steam may have a six-month wait until February 2016.
BSH has advised its trade partners, who want a model which won’?t be available until next year, to consider alternative models from its range.
For retailers who are awaiting orders placed between June 9 -August 4, 2015, BSH is now expected to fulfil them inbetween September and November. The extended deadline is three months later than the company originally reported on June 11, 2015.
According to BSH, the 600mm single oven will be fulfilled by September 15, while the 600mm single oven with steam and the 450mm compact oven with steam will be fulfilled by October 15.
Retailers who have placed orders for the 450mm compact oven with microwave combination, may have to wait until November 30.
However, those who have ordered during this time will have to wait until February 2016 for both the 600mm single oven with microwave and 600mm single oven with full steam. And for retailers who placed orders before June 9 could still see further delays of up to October 31.
The 600mm single oven now has expected fulfilment by August 31, while the 600mm steam oven with added steam, 600mm oven with microwave and 450mm compact oven with steam have an expected delivery of September 30. Whereas, the delivery of 450mm compact oven with microwave combination could be up to October 31.
However, BSH reports there are no current delays on its 450mm compact oven with steam only or 380mm compact microwave ovens.
BSH has cited the reasons for the delays as undersupply from its factories, despite promised quantities, continued increased demand and ?system challenges which have now been streamlined?.
The company will be updating retailers, on a weekly basis, via its online portal The Hub.
