Global brand of engineered surfaces Caesarstone has welcomed Edward Smith managing director for UK and Republic of Ireland.

Caesarstone welcomes MD UK & ROI

He steps into the role having worked for nearly 30 years at builders merchant Jewson which has over 550 outlets nationwide.

At Jewson, Smith was the programme director, leading the creation and implementation of the company’s long term strategic plan.

Simultaneously, he was the managing director of George Boyd, a national ironmongery, security and fire door safety business with 14 stores and a distribution centre.

Smith brings with him experience of relationship building and fostering team performance and in new role, he will continue to develop and drive Caesarstone’s strategic vision forward.

Smith succeeds Amir Reske who has left the country after seven years to take a CEO role in his native Israel.
