Former commercial and marketing director of Crosswater Holdings takes charge

Bathroom and kitchen distributor Cooper Callas has been sold to Philip Carr, a former commercial and marketing director of Crosswater Holdings.

Established in 1875, the family-owned business was in its fifth generation and was rumoured to be up for sale for the past 16 months.

Cooper Callas has a head office in Bicester with three additional depots in Leeds, Glasgow and Newton Abbott, in Devon and employs 105 staff.

It sells bathroom and kitchen products to merchants and retailers, with a 24/48-hour delivery.

The company stocks more than 25 brands, and is an exclusive distributor of JT Softstone, Laura Ashley by Huppe, and is the only full distributor of Ideal Standard Group products to retailers and merchants. It also provides the kitchen brands Franke, InSinkErator, Rangemaster and Gower.
