Directors are taking on a 1,200km charity cycle ride across France.

Directors at Hoover Candy Baumatic will be taking part in a 1,200km charity cycle across France to raise money for two charities, which starts on June 1.

Steve Macdonald, marketing director, and Kevin Finn, sales director, will hope to raise £2,000 for St John’s Hospice in Wirral and Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin.

The ride, which is the equivalent to 70,000 of Hoover’s latest tall larder and freezers laid end to end, will take them on a route along the Atlantic coast and finishing in Biarritz.

Steve Macdonald commented: “This year, I’ll be cycling up to 100 miles a day over eight days to raise money for the Wirral Hospice, so they can continue to care and support patients with life-limiting illnesses such as cancer, heart, liver and kidney disease, respiratory and neurological conditions.”

Kevin Finn also commented: “I’m really proud to be making a donation to the team at the Crumlin Children’s Hospital, who work tirelessly to improve the health and wellbeing of children in Ireland.

“My funds will contribute towards a much needed piece of medical machinery that’s used for young patients undergoing spinal and neurosurgery procedures.”
