Domus and Surface to merge businesses

Retail and contract businesses join together

London tile retailer Surface has merged with its commercial division Domus to become one brand, with the business known as Domus from December 1.

The consolidation was announced at the British Interior Designer’s (BIID) 50th anniversary event in the company’s Battersea showroom.

According to the company, the merger will be advantageous for customers as it will see an increased London showroom network, extended product portfolio and access to product launches and events.

In addition, it means the business will have a streamlined customer service and technical support.

Domus will now have showrooms in Battersea, Islington, Clerkenwell, London W1, as well as West Molesey in Surrey.

CEO at Domus Jon Newey commented: “Our aim for the unified Domus brand is to deliver a successful outcome for any design projects, both in the UK and internationally, no matter how big or small. We will continue to combine the best of new product design with specialist staff knowledge to developer our customers’ ideas into crafted, individual and bespoke design schemes that not only look outstanding but always perform to the very highest standards.”
