UK Kitchen makeover franchisor Dream Doors has been sold to US-based Neighborly, which is reportedly the world’s largest franchisor of home service brands.
The deal includes 91 Dream Doors franchise showrooms throughout the UK and Ireland, which specialise in fully-fitted kitchen makeovers, replacement doors, worktops and the installation of appliances.
Founder and chairman of Dream Doors, Troy Tappenden will step down and leave the company.

The Dream Doors network will continue to be overseen by managing director Philip Carr, who has helped implement the brand’s long-term expansion strategy since 2017.
As a result, Neighborly UK now consists of six brands includes Aire Serv, Bright & Beautiful, Countrywide Grounds Maintenance, Drain Doctor, Mr Electric and Dream Doors.
In total, Neighborly now has a total of 22 service brands, nearly 3,700 franchise owners and more than 850 colleagues across nine countries.
