Kitchen makeover franchise celebrates 40,000 installations

National kitchen door replacement franchise Dream Doors has celebrated the sale of its 40,000th installation, since it began trading in 1999.

Owners of the Dream Doors franchise in Chandlers Ford, near Southampton, Katie and Sean Hebdon made the sale, with the customer presented a luxury food and drink hamper.

Established in Hampshire, Dream Doors has 57 showrooms across the country and, according to the company, is on target to turnover more than £25million in 2015.

It was recently recognised at the British Franchise Association Franchisor of the Year Awards, where it won the Franchisee Recruitment of the Year Award.

Managing director of Dream Doors, Troy Tappenden commented: “The transformation of 40,000 kitchens since we first started is a mind-boggling achievement.”

He continued: “Since we began trading, people have become increasingly keen for their kitchen to look good – it has become the most important room in the house for many families in the UK. Nearly every single one of our 40,000 transformations will have been completed in 48 hours and for a fraction of the cost of a full re-fit.

“That’s why Dream Doors is such a good franchise opportunity; there is an on-going requirement for people to update their kitchen but people don’t want the expense or disruption that comes with a full re-fit.”
