Electrolux appoints GM for UK

Former Akzo Nobel Decorative sales director Peter Spencer named Electrolux GM

Peter Spencer has been appointed Electrolux General Manager UK & Ireland, with his Luton-based role starting on March 31.

He takes over from Ian Banes, who is now SVP Product Line Home Comfort, Channel and Sales Development for Electrolux Major Appliances EMEA. Spencer will report to Chris Braam, SVP Sales and Aftermarket Service, Electrolux Major Appliances Europe.

Former sales director of Akzo Nobel Decorative,  prior to that Spencer worked for Constellation Europe, a wine company with operations in the UK, Europe and South Africa, including brands like Hardy’s and Kumala. During this period, his roles spanned managing director of Gaymer Cider Company, SVP UK wine sales and sales & marketing director for Matthew Clark Cider.

He has also held several sales and marketing positions at Coca Cola and Esso Petroleum.
