First-ever Mixed Ability Rugby World Tournament supported by Feature Radiators
Bumble Bee Barbarians is hosting the first Mixed Ability Rugby World Tournament, August 17-21, at its ground in West Yorkshire, supported by local business Feature Radiators.
As well as Feature Radiators, the event is being supported by England Rugby and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
The tournament will feature players with learning or physical disabilities taking part in the same team as non-disabled players.
In addition, the event will also include five days of free and accessible events helping to tackle inequality in sport, with Sports Minister Tracey Couch attending on the final day.
Director of Feature Radiators, Katie Finlay said: “We jumped at the chance to support this event as it has such a positive impact on not just the players but on the community as a whole. And we hope our local team, the Bumbles, make a beeline for the winner’s trophy.”
