Expansion will boost capacity from 2.5million sqm to 8million sqm

Kitchen and bathroom wall panel manufacturer Fibo has completed construction of a £14million expansion of its factory in Lyngdal, Norway.

The company supplies wall panels for over 70,000 bathrooms a year, such as Mercato Tile, and sells into more than 10 European countries.

Its factory expansion will boost capacity from 2.5million sqm to 8million sqm per year, and will reportedly offer a 50% reduction in energy per sqm.

Developed in Norway in 1952 and available in the UK since 1981, Fibo wall panels are specified for high-end domestic projects and hotels, through to leisure centres and social housing.

They are manufactured to ISO 9001 standard, come with a 15-year guarantee, and can be used for refurbishment and new build projects as they can be fitted to walls or on to stud portioning.
