Appliance manufacter relocates offices and warehouse

Following two years of nearly doubling its workforce, appliance manufacturer Fisher & Paykel has moved its offices  to larger premises in Wavendon, Milton Keynes.

According to the company, the move is part of an increased investment into the UK & Europe from its leadership team in New Zealand.

It sees the UK, Ireland and Europe “as a strategically important part of the global business in our drive to become the world’s premium appliance brand.”

In addition, Fisher & Paykel will also be moving its warehouse space from Kingston, Milton Keynes, to Bedford to meet its need for greater storage.

Fisher & Paykel has designed products since 1934, under licence, in its native New Zealand.

Renowned for its Dishdrawer, Fisher & Paykel offers cooking, cooling and cleaning appliances and has won a number of honours including Red Dot, iF Gold and Austrialian International Design Awards.

It operates in 50 countries and has manufacturing plants in Thailand, Mexico, China and Italy.

The UK subsidiary is led by managing director David Woollcott.

In 2012, the Haier Group acquired Fisher & Paykel which includes Dynamic Cooking Systems, which makes cooking appliances for indoors and outdoors.

Following the acquisition of Fisher & Paykel, Haier acquired GE Appliances in 2016 and most recently took over the Candy Group in 2018.
