Formica denies Prima cull

Formica Prima will now be manufactured by the Formica Group in the UK

Laminate worktop brand Formica Prima will still be available to retailers, designers and distributors across the UK but will now be made by the Formica Group in the UK.

The announcement follows the Wilsonart acquisition of Bushboard, Formica Prima’s licensee and manufacturer and its notification of termination of the licence and supply agreement for Formica Prima.

President at Formica Group Europe, Peter Rush commented: “With this announcement we want to reassure customers that Formica Prima is alive and kicking. It remains fully available through the same UK worktop distribution network and there will be no disruption in supply. We have big plans to invest and bring innovation into this range in the future.”

Formica Prima is here to stay, accept no substitute.”

The Formica Prima range will be supported by display stands, worktops for kitchen displays, samples and brochures.
