Around 40 Franke showrooms participated to raise money for Marie Curie

As part of its More in Store retail campaign launched at kbbBirmingham, Franke showrooms have raised more than £2,000 for the Marie Curie Blooming Great Tea Party, which took place from June 20-29.

Franke provided free cupcakes and marketing POS for its More in Store retailers to help them host in-store parties. Around 40 retailers and distributors took part across the UK, hosting charity tea parties, with the centrepiece being Rhubarb and Custard Cream Biscuit cupcakes, one of three recipes created by Great British Bake Off winner Frances Quinn.

The recipes are still available to download in return for a donation to Marie Curie via the Franke website.

Marketing operations manager at Franke, Steve Rutter commented: “We’re so thrilled with the positive response we’ve received and the creativity our independent retailers brought to their Blooming Great Tea Party events that we’re intending making this an annual ‘More in Store’ event. Thanks go to Frances Quinn for creating such delicious recipes and to Franke staff who also played their part – but we’re especially grateful to bakery ingredients supplier British Bakels for their commitment and generous assistance in baking and distributing the cupcakes.”
