Glenn Fisher appointed MD of The IPG

Taking over from chairman Robin Beal, who founded the buying group

Buying group for independent plumbing, heating and bathroom specialists, The IPG has announced the appointment of Glenn Fisher as managing director.

He will be taking over from chairman Robin Beal, who founded The IPG to support small, independent businesses.

Since its creation, The IPG has gone from strength to strength and is now working with an extensive supplier network and has over 200 member locations nationwide.

Glenn Fisher brings a wealth of knowledge to the role, having worked with several owner-managed businesses and being qualified as an accountant.

This announcement follows the appointment of David Cairns, as the group’s head of supplier and commercial strategy and the opening of three flagship stores in 2019.

Founder and chairman at The IPG Robin Beal said: “I am pleased with Glenn’s rapid promotion within The IPG family.

“Glenn brings a wealth of experience and most importantly a passion for independent businesses.

Established in July 2003, The IPG started its first trading agreements in Nov 2014 and by March 2017 had its 100th supplier join the group.

Most recently, it held its second The IPG Conference at the National Space Centre featuring a keynote speech by interior designer Linda Barker to more than 225 members and suppliers.
