Grand Designs Live returns to London

Hosted by TV presenter and design guru Kevin McCloud, Grand Designs Live will run over nine days from April 30 – May 8, 2022.

The show is set to include new exhibitors and features, alongside established areas which have attracted visitors for the past 17 years.

New for 2022 is The Green Zone, an area dedicated to showcasing eco-friendly products and services from companies that put sustainability at the heart of their business.

Spread over 2000 sqm, The Green Zone includes exhibitors covering all aspects of the home from eco-building materials, through to insulation, heating and renewable systems, furnishings, and electric car-charging equipment.

Plus, championed by Kevin McCloud, a selection of the most innovative eco ideas will be featured in the Kevin’s Green Heroes feature.

The Green Zone Theatre and Advice Hub will be devoted to issues surrounding sustainability, where visitors can discover how to make a home eco-friendly.

It will include talks and panel discussions from experts on topics such as how to plan an eco-build or refit a house, as well as get advice tailored to visitor’s project.

These will join the Ask an Expert arena, where visitors can book to discuss build and renovation plans on a one-to-one basis with specialists in architecture, construction, finance and interior design.

In addition, these will join The Grand Theatre where visitors can hear from the likes of Kevin McCloud, Kunle Barker and various Grand Designers, plus Room Sets where designers show their creativity in overcoming an interior design challenge.

Finally, The Upcycling Hub is the place for visitors to find designers who are experts in turning objects and materials into furniture.

There visitors will be able to buy or commission handmade pieces, as well as gain an insight into the craft through live demonstrations.

These will join the dedicated Build, Kitchens & Bathrooms, Gardens and Interiors sections.
