Loox 5 is a plug and play, modular lighting system with mesh control, which allows consumers to use a variety of lights or change colour temperature with remote control, app or wall switches.

It means designers can create “human centric lighting”, not only choosing lamp and positioning but also adapting the warmth of the lighting according to task or time of day.

Simplifying the wiring system and allowing smart connectivity, Loox 5 includes seven drivers, spanning 12V and 24V, distributors, and 5amp connecting leads allowing for longer LED strips.

The modular mesh control is also past compatible, so designers can add connectivity to older Loox Lighting systems.

In addition, Hafele provides a Lighting Design Service where designers can submit room plans and the expert team will produce the technical lighting scheme and produce a specification list.

Furthermore, the company also offers Hafele to Order which cuts LED lighting strip and profile to length.

Loox 5 features in the recently refurbished Renault Relay van which boasts a lighting animation to explain the role and emotion of lighting, hands-on demonstrations and experts to provide advice.

The van also boasts WiFi allowing Hafele to host Microsoft Teams meeting in the van between trade customers and their account manager to immediately follow-up from the visit.

Training academy manager Andrew Toseland commented on the van’s refurbishment which has been simplified for easier set up at customers’ premises: “This used to be a presentation vehicle with a platform which took two hours to set it up at an event.

“We converted it so we can turn up on site and it takes five minute to set up.”

Powered by solar energy, the van doesn’t need to be connected to the mains unless using air conditioning.

The Hafele demonstration van can be booked via an area sales manager or online, as marketing manager business to small business Chris Fell explained: “There’s a short contact form, so we collect the details and call the customer back when we’ve got a route planned in the area.”

Loox lighting forms part of the company’s portfolio which is listed in The Complete Häfele: Furniture Fittings Design which featured 1,000 new lines this year.
