Brassware manufacturer Hansgrohe has won two Red Dot Awards for its Axor Edge and Hansgrohe Rainfinity showers.
It was the only manufacturer in the category Bathroom Taps & Showeheads and was rewarded with Best of Best accolades for the design of both collections which were launched at ISH.
Edge was created by French designers Jean-Marie Massaud, 13 years after his initial collaboration with the company.
Using a process used in diamond manufacturing, Edge features precise edge and planes with the choice of a smooth or etched surface.
It features mixers for the washbasin, bath, bidet, as well as thermostatic shoewrs and come in four Axor FinishPlus colours: Polished Gold Optic, Polished Bronze, Polished Red Gold and Polished Black Chrome.
Rainfinity has already scooped Gold in the iF Design Award and features a concave shape and wall connection, which negates the need for a conventional shower arm.
It means the shower head can be adjusted between 10 and 30 degrees to keep face and hair dry, if required.
Vice president of product management at Hansgrohe Jan Heisterhagen said: “We are honoured to have received two ‚Best of Best‘ titles.
“Together with our renowned design partners, our focus is on absolute high-quality products, successful and extraordinary product design, but most of all, optimisation of user benefit.”
