Relocation will see premises double in size

Following on from a rebrand, HiB has announced it will be moving from its current Tamworth Distribution centre to a unit more than double its size on the same business park.

The company has signed a 15-year lease on an 85,000sqft building, which is due for completion in quarter three of 2017.

HiB is set to move following growth over the past year, having expanded its core portfolio, and to prepare for increase in sales of its rebranded HiB Novum furniture range.

Managing director of HiB Robert Ginsberg commented: “It’s a great situation to be in but, the reality is, the business is growing at such a rapid rate that we are beginning to outgrow the Birch Coppice site which we originally moved into in 2008.

“Having only expanded the warehouse and offices last year, to meet up with demand, we are already nearly to capacity. So, it seemed the natural progression to move to a bigger facility. This will enable us to stock more products, optimise delivery efficiencies and ensure we maintain customer service excellence.”

He continued: “At the same time, we have also just extended our offices in London to cater for further growth – it really is an exciting time for us.”
