Home and garden retailer Homebase is planning to open a series of small format stores in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, in Spring 2021.

The existing Bathstore showroom will be refreshed to include Kitchens by Homebase, after a trial launch in Guildford, which opened in October 2020.

The unit next door will be transformed into Decorate by Homebase, currently open in Cheadle and Sutton in Surrey. In addition, the site will also house the company’s first pop-up store.

Founded in 1979, Homebase now has 151 stores and 15 standalone Bathstore stores employing over 5,600 people across the UK and Ireland.

The DIY retailer has plans to further expand its network of small stores around the UK.

Boasting brand partnerships with the likes of Villeroy & Boch, Bosch, Neff and Roux Kitchens, most recently, it has joined forces with magazine publisher Hearst UK to offer Country Living and House Beautiful branded kitchens.
