The collaboration has now extended across additional product categories; cooling, dishwashing and freestanding microwaves.

Since the partnership formed in February 2019, Simon has fronted a range of integrated marketing activity, including recipe creation and product demonstrations for the ‘Cook the Way You Live’ campaign, Q&As and media interviews. Year one also included ‘Dinner with Rimmer’, a social media competition in collaboration with one of Simon’s restaurants.

Simon will continue to front a diverse range of marketing activity, including PR, advertising, competitions and events. A suite of social media assets, including video content, will continue to be created during years two and three of the partnership. The campaigns will be supported across Hoover’s social and digital media and in-store.

One of the first initiatives to launch under the contract extension is Wellbeing Wednesday, a digital campaign for Hoover’s digital and social channels. Offering advice and guidance to consumers on maintaining mental and physical wellbeing while at home, fitness content will also be provided by Warrington Wolves, which Hoover sponsors.

Speaking of the contract extension, Simon Rimmer said: “Hoover has shown itself to be a forward-thinking manufacturer and is really leading the charge with bringing professional cooking methods and processes into the home.

“But its cooking portfolio is only part of the story, so I’m looking forward to getting stuck into other categories and implementing the exciting campaigns and activity we have planned.”

Antony Peart, brand and communications director at Hoover, added: “We are really pleased to continue our partnership with Simon for a further two years. He shares the same vision we do; to inspire people in every aspect of the kitchen

“As a brand, we are very serious about creating products that add real value to home life and Simon has helped us to bring that to life with our cooking portfolio. Now it’s time to build on this additional product categories, this way we can demonstrate the scope and scale of our product portfolio and help people to get the best out of their appliances.”
